Surrey Singer Proving To Be ‘El Of A Performer’

Surrey-born singer and music student Ellie Firmo is proving that she is quite a performer as she secures more gigs dates across Surrey and Sussex. Splitting her time between Surrey and Brighton where she is studying, Ellie is sharing her huge passion for music at gigs and live radio appearances locally.

Ellie Firmo, 19, is a Surrey musician looking to live the musical dream, currently living in Brighton, she is a student at the city’s prestigious BIMM (British & Irish Institute Of Modern Music) Institute.

For more than 35 years, BIMM through its eight colleges in cities including London, Manchester and Birmingham, as well as the Brighton college has prided itself on taking raw talents and turning it into industry-ready professionals and its star-studded alumni includes the likes of music stars James Bay and George Ezra.

Ellie says her passion for performing and making music goes back to her childhood, growing up in Surrey, she says: “I’ve dreamed of being a musician ever since I was 10. My dad’s a musician so I’ve been raised with music around me constantly. I wrote my first song when I was seven, granted it definitely wasn’t revolutionary, but it was the first outlet I found to express myself. I’ve always been happiest when performing, so I’ve known from a young age that it was what I wanted to do with my life.”
