Getting your packing right does not need to be a serious chore! A little preparation and sensible thinking can make it a lot easier and what is more you will remain stylish and summer holiday ready!
Preparation Is The Key To Success
Make a packing list, if you are worried you might leave something essential at home plan what you will need to take with you. For peace of mind on what to pack, list your everyday holiday essentials.
Pack The Right Way
Is there a right way to pack? Well, yes there is! Have you ever packed light-coloured clothes and found a stain on them when you arrived? Always make sure your light-coloured clothes are packed inside out. When it comes to packing, make use of every inch of your suitcase, to do this roll tops, underwear, socks and other small items and place them into your shoes to make sure all possible space is filled.
Staying Dry
To avoid your favourite shampoo leaking and leaving a gooey covering on your best holiday clothing think about wrapping your toiletries in clingfilm or place them in a food bag to contain any leaks.
Avoid Additional Baggage Fees
To avoid fees, make sure you weigh bags on both legs of the journey and see how close you are to the limit. If you are close to the limit, consider wearing some of the heavier items when you travel.
Travel Light
Use a lightweight suitcase, typically, a hard-shell suitcase can add some serious weight before you have even started packing, so expensive is not always best with luggage.
Hassle-free Pick Up
If you arrive at your destination and you find yourself looking for your case, avoid carousel crisis and make sure that you have made your case stand out from the crowd with labels, stickers or ribbons.
Keep It Close To Hand
Remember, bags do go missing in transit, so make sure your valuables are in your hand luggage and pack a spare change of clothes in your hand luggage just in case your checked bag is lost or delayed.
