The South Of England Show Is Back & It Is Bigger & Better Than Ever

The South Of England Show Is Back & It Is Bigger & Better Than Ever

The South of England Show is returning this year from June 6 – 8. Taking place at the iconic South of England Showground in Ardingly, West Sussex, the annual event has earned the ‘must attend date’ spot in the family calendar thanks to its varied programme of entertainment that allows every generation to re-connect with the countryside and ultimately have a great day out!

Whilst the three-day spectacular will still feature its beloved programme of agricultural and equestrian competitions and displays, rural crafts and an abundance of food, drink and shopping opportunities, 2019’s event is centred around the pure delights of traditional family fun.

Children can watch Shetland ponies go head to head in the mini Grand National, or little piggies prove their agility in the piggy-pranks obstacle course. They can experience life as a Saxon or Norman and watch thrilling battle re-enactments, try their hand at pond dipping, admire birds of prey, meet some water buffalo, and so much more.

The youngest members of the family can even meet the beloved picturebook character The Gruffalo, with live appearances on Saturday, June 8. Even teenagers will enjoy the event with many an ‘instagramable moment’ to capture with the show’s music stage hosting sensational artists and the always exciting showjumping programme in the main arena.

Every generation is set to be stunned by the thrilling spectacle of the Bolddog Lings motorcycle stunt display and this year, just for the adults, the show will host its first Wine Walk where visitors can learn about, sample and purchase the fabulous wines produced right on their doorstep.
