The South of England Show 2023

The South of England Show is returning for its 55th year, and with over 150 things to see and do, there’s something for everyone.

Taking place from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th June 2023, at the South of England Showground, Ardingly, West Sussex, this year promises the best show yet. Expect agricultural and equestrian displays, country pursuits, live entertainment, rural crafts, horticulture, and various food, drink, and shopping opportunities.

Highlights include the Bolddog Lings motocross stunt displays, international showjumping, heavy horse displays, cookery workshops, scurry driving competitions, equine showing classes, livestock competitions, a Shetland Grand National, and live music.

Rural industries and craft enthusiasts can experience stick making, falconry, and trug making. You can also discover the vintage agricultural machinery ring with demonstrations and displays, a fairground, a medieval re-enactment zone, a British Army village and much more.

Children can explore a trail that leads to fun free activities around the show. And don’t miss the sheep show; it’s one of the most beloved attractions and will have everyone in fits of laughter.
The Discover the Countryside area offers forestry, fly casting, and displays and activities from land based colleges in the region. If you’re a keen gardener, check out the garden design competition entries and shop from the nurseries, plant experts, and equipment specialists. There’s even a special Bee & Honey section.

There’s food and drink aplenty, with street food options, pop-up bars, and cafes. The Grape & Grain Walk, featuring local vineyards and breweries, offers a chance to taste and purchase some of the region’s finest drinks.

As always, you can shop the best-of-country clothing, jewellery, pet accessories, independent boutiques and a brand-new area showcasing local producers called “Made in Sussex”.
Tickets to the South of England Show are available from www.seas.org.uk £22.50 for adults and £20.70 for senior citizens/students (including 10% discount until 1.06.23). Free admission for children under 16, but a donation of £2 is suggested for those aged 5-15. The show is open from 9am to 6.30pm.
