Mid Sussex-based Charity Boost From People’s Postcode Lottery

Earlier this year, Haywards Heath-based charity, Sightsavers received a welcome £1 million funding boost from People’s Postcode Lottery to aid its much-needed work.

It is hoped that the donation will enable Sightsavers to transform the lives of people in Africa and Asia by providing support to its eye health and education programmes.

Sightsavers’ director of major giving, Mike Straney, says: “By taking part in the lottery, players will be enabling us to reach even more people in some of the poorest parts of the world.”

People’s Postcode Lottery costs £10 a month and raises money for good causes across UK and abroad with at least 32% of the ticket price going to charity

People’s Postcode Lottery’s senior programmes manager, Sanjay Singh added: “This funding will aim to save sight and transform the lives of people living in some of the poorest parts of the world.”
