Netball Super League team Surrey Storm has announced the appointment of Mikki Austin as the club’s new Director of Netball.

Mikki, 24, who is a firm fan’s favourite joined Surrey Storm in 2015 and was part of the Surrey club’s back-to-back title winning Super League squad in 2015 and 2016.

The role is Mikki’s first as a Director of Netball but she has vast coaching experience running a coaching club and working in schools.

Upon her appointment in the role, Mikki Austin, said: “I am thrilled to be appointed as Director of Netball at Surrey Storm.”

Mikki added on social media after her appointment: “I want to thank every single person who has taken the time out to send me positivity today – with support like that we will not fail! Honoured for the opportunity, cannot wait to get started”
