Crawley’s Tilgate Park Pays Tribute With Murals

The Walled Garden Café Bar in Crawley’s Tilgate Park is marking the centenary of the end of the First World War with a commemorative mural from a local artist entitled – For Life, Love and Courage.

The large mural has been created in agreement with Crawley’s Tilgate Park and commissioned by The Walled Garden Café Bar to play a part in the town’s events to mark the Remembrance season.

Work on the special memorial mural marking the end of the First World War began in September and has welcomed dozens of Crawley residents keen to see how the public artwork is developing.

In addition to the memorial mural, a fabric poppy display will be created on the park’s maze organised by Crawley’s volunteer-led Friends of Tilgate Park alongside other poignant and heartfelt tributes.
