Wishing The NHS The Biggest Happy Birthday

This Monday the 5th of July 2021 marks the NHS’s 73rd birthday. I think we can all agree we would be lost without the NHS this year more than ever, without the NHS your family may not be the same, coronavirus has destroyed lives, but the NHS has saved so many. So, on this date it is important we celebrate and show our gratitude towards the NHS and all staff.

The first NHS, Social Care and Frontline Workers’ Day takes place on Monday, July 5th, 2021 with a series of events involving every aspect of society and raising money for two excellent causes – NHS Charities Together, which supports 250 hospitals and their charitable trusts, and the National Care Association, representing 1.6 million workers caring for some of society’s frailest citizens. Just donating a couple of pounds to show your appreciation could have a massive impact if everyone did the same.

It has been an extremely challenging year for the NHS and country as a whole, but also a year that’s given us hope. As the NHS turns 73 today, it is this day that the Queen awards the George Cross to the National Health Services of the UK, we would like to take the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of one of the nation’s most loved institutions, to appreciate the vital role the service plays in our lives, and to recognise and thank the extraordinary NHS staff – who are there to guide, support and care for us, day in, day out.
