West Sussex Household Recycling Sites Summer Hours

Are you planning a summer clear-out? If you plan to tackle the shed, garage or garden, remember that Household Waste Recycling Sites (HWRSs) across West Sussex are operating summer opening hours.

The majority of the sites will be open from 9.00am, with the exception of Bognor, Crawley and Littlehampton which will open at 8.30am on weekdays – Crawley will be open seven days a week.

West Sussex County Council is reminding residents who use commercial style vehicles for private use, non-business, that they need to have a permit to dispose of their household waste at the HWRSs.

The free permit applies to anyone who uses a van, pickup or single axle trailer and is available to West Sussex residents only, for more information on permits, visit: www.westsussex.gov.uk/permitscheme.
