If you think that the Women’s Institute (WI) is all about jam and Jerusalem, think again. Reigate Evening WI has just celebrated its 7th birthday and continues to grow from strength to strength with more than 80 members and an age span in excess of 50 years.

Reigate Evening WI meets each month with a speaker – the subject of the talks is very diverse, across the last year members have had a lesson on stained glass design, a performance from a belly dancer and some local cheesemakers.

Alongside main meetings, the group runs a selection of events each month such as meals out, trips to gardens and houses, theatre trips, gin tasting, and anything else our members can come up with – the WI is truly what its members make of it.
