Mid Sussex District Council Allocates More Than £110,000 In Funding Grants

Mid Sussex District Council (MSDC) is supporting charities, voluntary groups and community projects by awarding a total of £111,193 to 16 successful applicants from across the Mid Sussex area.

Branch Line has been awarded £50,867 towards the cost of a learning centre at the miniature railway at Beech Hurst Gardens, the centre will provide visitors with a play and learning area.

4Sight Vision Support has been granted £4,803 to continue to offer support services it provides for visually impaired people in Mid Sussex, helping them live more independently and gain confidence.

West Sussex Mediation Service has been granted £3,000 to help resolve conflicts, it specialises in neighbour disputes such as noise nuisance, anti-social behaviour and boundary disagreements.

Councillor Norman Webster, MSDC cabinet member for community, said: “Local charities and voluntary organisations do so much for the Mid Sussex community and grant funding allocations are a way for us to show our appreciation.”
