Meath Green Residents Celebrate Award Of Village Green Status

Residents living on the Landen Park Estate in Meath Green celebrated the official designation of their village green, located between Landen Park and Arne Grove at a family event in the autumn.

The event was organised by the Landen Park Estate Residents’ Association, set up by residents in early 2019 following Surrey County Council’s official designation of the land as a village green.

The aim of the Landen Park Estate Residents’ Association is to take care of the green space for the long-term and maintain a safe recreational space for the community to use and enjoy.

Martin Tasker, chairman of the Landen Park Estate Residents’ Association, said: “Residents have worked really hard to achieve ‘village green’ status in order to protect this area for existing residents and generations to come, and this event is an opportunity for us to celebrate as a community.”
