Lindfield Club’s 2017-18 Fundraising Frenzy

The Lindfield Club, a members-only club based above the King Edward Hall in the village has announced its generous members have helped to raise £6,300 for the Alzheimer’s Society in the past 12 months through a year of frenzied fundraising.

As part of the year’s fundraising efforts, the club organised regular meat raffles as well as fundraising events throughout the year including breakfasts, race nights, a bowls match, a cricket match and a special fun-filled golf day.

The recipient of the fundraising, the Alzheimer’s Society was nominated by club member, Paul Turner. Each autumn, club members are invited to nominate a charity which is then put to a vote by the club’s committee.

Brian Williams of the Alzheimer’s Society attended the club to receive a cheque from the club’s, meeting Andrew McLeod, Lindfield Club chairman, Paula Schofield, Lindfield Club honorary social secretary, and Karen Bonanate, Lindfield Club administrator.
