Horley Infants’ Festive Fair Raises More Than £4,500

The Friends of Horley Infant School (FHIS) committee raised a staggering £4,509.75 at the group’s 2018 Christmas fair. The popular event boasted festive goodies, gifts and games.

Many months of planning went into making Horley Infant School’s festive fundraising event a success, FHIS is a small, friendly group of parents and teachers who organise and run events throughout the year.

Alexis Roberts, the FHIS Christmas fair organiser, said: “When the treasurer told me the total we had raised, I couldn’t believe it. I asked her to double check the figures! I’m blown away by the success!”

The group’s fundraising provides extras that the school is unable to buy from within its tight budget. In the past, FHIS has funded the school’s sound system, laptops, playground toys, books, and much more.

Acting headteacher, Jason Walters, says: “Thank you so much to the wonderful Friends of Horley Infant School, you really have done us all proud and we are truly grateful.”

Horley Infant School is committed to pupils achieving their potential through outstanding teaching and high expectations of behaviour. For more information, visit: www.horley.surrey.sch.uk/
