Go, Go Alfresco!

Go, Go Alfresco!

Go, Go Alfresco!

With the longest day marked this month, now is an ideal time to make the most of high summer’s lightest mornings and balmiest evenings by turning your outdoor areas, no matter their size, into the perfect place to enjoy some alfresco living. Whether you plan to dine out or to chill out, make sure that your outdoor area is the place to be and is the extension to your living space that you have always dreamt of.

If this summer is anything like the summer of 2018 we are in for a real treat! What do you need in order to go alfresco in style, and to make the outdoors as comfortable as the indoors?

Dine Out
If you enjoy suppers in the sun, or even under the moonlight, create a cosy outdoor dining room – turn your patio into the perfect place to plate-up, and to eat and drink into the evening. Choosing the right table and chairs set is important, when it comes to outdoor dining, opt for waterproof furniture which dries easily – the British weather is changeable – you will want to avoid damaging your furniture in a downpour.

Chill Out
If you need a special space to break free, whether from the pressures of work, study or family, an outdoor chill out zone is a great idea. Create an area which sets the right atmosphere – something cozy and cute for impromptu drinks and nibbles – the laidback location for reading – as well as a comfortable seat, think about an outdoor rug and scatter cushions, and why not even add candles and lanterns after dark?

Play Out
If your garden doubles-up as a play area think about what you can create for your children for their play days and play dates. Why not create a dedicated area of your garden to children where they can run around and play to their hearts’ content? A playhouse or a tree house is a great idea if you are particular about your lawn’s condition, the structure can be used for garden toy storage in-and-out-of-season.

Party Out
There is nothing quite like the feeling warm water bubbling up as you lounge in the garden with a glass of something fizzy! If you are looking to create your own garden spa think about a hot tub which can help you to relax after a long day. Hot tubs vary in size and what they offer, and can be a luxurious addition to any garden – hot tubs are not the high price they once were.

Make Your Garden As Unique As You Are

For you and your house guests to go alfresco think about what accessories you might like
to add to the garden – much like your interiors, go for a chic look which will be the envy of
all who visit! When it comes to accessories, some will be functional ones – parasols,
tables or blankets, whilst others will be purely aesthetic – statues, bird tables or outdoor
clocks – of course, there will be options for all budgets.
