Caring Community

Without the support of the local community, QVH Charity would not be able to help Queen Victoria Hospital go above and beyond for its patients.

The charity was set up in 1996 to manage donations given to the hospital and since then it has been able to fund projects and equipment that is above and beyond NHS funding.

From special physiotherapy equipment which has helped transform the recovery of burns patients, through to a range of toys for the play room in the children’s ward, these are
only possible thanks to you. Every cake sale, own clothes day or sponsored event makes a real difference.

Looking for a challenge but not sure what to do? Let us introduce you to some of our fundraisers who can tell you more.

Ready, teddy, go!

Arla walked 39 miles, the distance from her home to the hospital, raising close to £500 to say thank you to the hospital’s children’s ward for looking after her. Arla wanted to fund ‘get well soon’ teddy bears to give to other children coming into hospital to make them feel better.

“Hello! I’m Dan, a therapist working in hand therapy team at QVH. I’m running an ultramarathon encircling East Grinstead and the surrounding areas to raise money for QVH Charity. I see first-hand the difficulties many of our patients have and want to raise £1,500 to support our work.” You can sponsor Dan here.

Chartham Park Golf & Country Club has selected QVH Charity to be its Charity of the Year for 2024. They teed off the charity partnership with a Captains’ Drive-In in April, raising a fantastic £2,125.50 for QVH Charity.
