Borde Hill’s Summer Of Celebration 2018

Borde Hill Garden celebrated in style 125 years since Colonel Stephenson Robert Clarke purchased the estate and created the Garden this summer with an action-packed, creative and imaginative programme.

Speaking ahead of the summer series of events, Andrew John Stephenson Clarke, owner and managing director, said: “To celebrate our special anniversary and the beauty of our garden, which has been carefully planted and tended for 125 years, we want visitors to experience something extra special.”

During the school summer holiday, a mystical trail entitled The Garden of Imagination took place and the garden also hosted special photographic workshops for adults and children to improve their skills.

During August and September, visitors could visit The Artist’s Garden, an exhibition of work inspired by the beauty of stone, stained glass, ceramic, resin and metalwork, sponsored by1stCENTRAL.

Britain’s leading outdoor production company, Opera Brava returned to perform open-air productions of La Boheme and The Marriage of Figaro, against the backdrop of the Elizabethan Mansion House.
