The Children’s Trust School

The Children’s Trust School is a non-maintained special school supporting children and young people with a range of complex health and medical needs, alongside multiple barriers to learning.

Based in leafy Tadworth in Surrey, we are a regional school admitting children from a wide catchment. Our co-located children’s houses mean we’re able to offer residential placements to children from across the UK, as well as day placements to those living in the surrounding boroughs.

Supporting children and young people aged 2-19, we offer a dedicated early years’ service for children aged 2-5, and education for children and young people from reception right through to sixth form (4-19).

As specialists in our field, we support children with neurological disorders including degenerative conditions, brain injury, global developmental delay or profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties amongst other complex health and medical needs.

Our education, health, therapy and care teams work collaboratively with high ambition, strong commitment and a shared value base. Together, we have a ‘whole system response’ to deliver high quality support for children with special educational needs, placing their quality of life at the centre of what we do.

If you are a parent or professional interested in learning more, please come to our Open Morning on Thursday 21st March between 9.30am and 12.00pm.

Starting with a presentation by our headteacher Launa Randles, who will help build a picture of what day-to-day life is like at our school. There will also be a tour of the school and our facilities, and our multidisciplinary therapy team will showcase some of our specialist equipment including eye gaze, the magic carpet and robotics. There will also be an opportunity to speak to our staff including teachers, therapists and those involved in nursing and medical care. Parking is available on site and refreshments will be served.

Recently rated as an ‘Outstanding’ provider by Ofsted (September 23), come along and find out for yourself what makes our school so special.
