July West Sussex County Council Meeting

Meeting

The next full council meeting of West Sussex County Council will be held virtually next week.

The council will meet from 10.30 am on Friday 16 July, with the meeting also being webcast live via the county council website

Items on the agenda include two motions for debate by councillors. The first will consider the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on residents’ mental health and the role of the county council in prioritising access to support services.

The second will seek the support of the council for the national Emergency Services Day to recognise all those who have served and volunteered in the NHS and all emergency services, including the county’s fire and rescue service.

Members will also consider a proposal to replace County Local Committees (CLCs) with more informal community forums which would enable residents to meet and put questions to their local county councillors.
