Shoppers’ Delight & Festive Fun At The South Of England Showground’s Winter Fair This November

The South of England Agricultural Society’s Winter Fair weekend returns to the South of England Showground in Ardingly this November. Running from 9.00am on Saturday, November 23, the Winter Fair will be a shoppers’ paradise providing the perfect opportunity to get Christmas preparations sorted whilst enjoying a festive family day out.

Visitors can shop ‘till they drop with artisan good from local, independent traders across the south of England. For food and drink lovers there will be mouth-watering gin liqueurs, homemade chilli jams, gourmet pork pies, truckle cheeses, handcrafted macarons and chocolate wine. For those looking for unique gifts and stocking fillers there will be everything from artwork, jewellery, lovingly produced leather and cashmere fashion, natural soap and gift sets, home accessories, Christmas decorations and more.

The Winter Fair provides the perfect day out to keep the whole family entertained, it will feature a variety of feel-good Christmassy entertainment and activities, families are sure to enjoy the giant snow globe that they can step inside to capture the perfect Christmas-card-worthy family picture, a traditional carousel, meet and greets with the Ice Queen and her elf, and of course the opportunity to meet the man himself inside Santa’s grotto.

Iain Nicol, chief executive of the South of England Agricultural Society, said: “We’re very excited to see our Winter Fair go from strength to strength, with hundreds of regional artisan producers getting the chance to showcase their wonderful creations. Celebrating and supporting these local businesses in the south of England is very important to us and it provides the perfect opportunity for our visitors to purchase some truly unique gifts, or of course treats for themselves’.

“With the added addition of our Christmas entertainment and activities running throughout the weekend, we hope that families come along and enjoy a wonderful festive day out together, all in the knowledge that they are helping the society as a charity. Without them we couldn’t offer the support we do to so many involved in agriculture and other related land-based industries. From inspiring schoolchildren to learn about the land, to offering travel bursaries for people working in the farming sector, or helping with funding towards agricultural research and projects, every ticket sold really does make a difference.”

Tickets for the Winter Fair 2019 cost £5.85 for adults and £4.95 for seniors/students (inclusive of a 10% online discount which ends midnight 22.11.19).

*Under 16s go free with a paying adult. Tickets are available online, visit: www.seas.org.uk
