Surrey Charity & Care Organisation Scoops Prestigious National Award

Reigate-based charity and care organisation, Active Prospects has won the Supported Housing Award at the prestigious National Learning Disability & Autism Awards held in Birmingham this summer.

The heart-warming award ceremony held in the West Midlands recognised the achievements of those working in the adult social care sector.

Judges praised Active Prospects, noting: “Active Prospects demonstrated true person-centred values in involving people in developing and planning accommodation solutions.”

Active Prospects has 172 high-quality and accessible homes which meet local strategic needs in the South East of England for those with Learning disabilities, autism, and or complex needs.

Speaking about the award victory and what it means for the organisation, Active Prospects’ chief executive, Maria Mills says: “We work with adults with learning disabilities enabling them to lead more independent, active and fulfilling lives.

We are absolutely thrilled to have this work, and our success, recognised through such a significant award.”
