West Sussex County Council Celebrates Apprentices

West Sussex County Council will be celebrating the achievements of apprentices across the county at its special fourth West Sussex Apprentice Graduation Ceremony on Monday, May 20 at The Hawth Theatre.

Apprentices attending the graduation completed their advanced or higher/degree apprenticeship in 2018, and the employer, where they completed their apprenticeship, is in the West Sussex area.

In March, West Sussex County Council which has more than 100 employees currently studying for an apprenticeship, and more than half older than the age of 35, celebrated National Apprenticeship Week.

Richard Burrett, West Sussex County Council cabinet member for education and skills, said: “Apprenticeships are a great way for people to earn a wage, and gain relevant job-specific skills.”
