The Greyhound Trust has been finding loving homes for retired racing greyhounds since 1975, helping more than 100,000 greyhounds begin their next chapter as cherished family pets. From our National Greyhound Centre in Smallfield, we’re proud to support a network of dedicated volunteers across the UK who work tirelessly to help these wonderful greyhounds find the homes they deserve.

Many people are surprised to discover what fabulous companions greyhounds make. Despite being capable of incredible speed, they’re gentle, affectionate and remarkably calm around the home. In fact, greyhounds are true champion snoozers, often happiest after a couple of walks each day, curled up enjoying a well-earned nap. They have a quiet, easy-going nature, love spending time with their people and quickly become much-loved members of the family.
