Horley Carnival is Back and Better Than Ever!

Horley Carnival Is Back And Better Than Ever!

After a break of two years due to COVID the popular Horley Carnival returns on Saturday 18th June from 12.00 pm until 5.00 pm and continues to be free to enter. This year’s theme is Superheroes!

The parade will set off from the Victoria Road car park at 12.30 pm travelling along the same route as previous years i.e., Massetts Road, Russell Crescent, Victoria Road, A23 into the Recreation Ground. Two of the bands will be performing, before the arrival of the parade, next to Costa Coffee and in the pedestrian precinct.

Judging of the carnival floats will be carried out by the Mayor of Reigate & Banstead and the Deputy Mayor Horley before the parade leaves the Victoria Road car park.

There will be the usual selection of community and commercial stalls along with a range of catering outlets.

Beach’s funfair will be open from the Friday evening and they have kindly organised a firework display which will take place after dark Saturday evening. This will also be free to enter.

Team Rubicon will be giving free lessons using scooters/skateboards etc on the skate park. Don’t worry if you do not have some of the equipment which they will supply. Pre-booking is not required just turn up on the day.

Once you have had your lesson then go to the main arena and watch a high-flying BMX display team who will be giving two performances.

Returning will be favourites interactive talking cycling characters from Animatronics, Tom’s Talking Reptiles, Owls about Town, Punch and Judy and Kidsroam petting farm. Also taking part will be our local Army Reserves both in the parade and in the grounds.

A limited amount of space will be available on the ground for disabled parking, but the car park will not be available from 11.00 am on the day whilst the Carnival is underway.

As in past years this is the result of the hard work over many months by several community groups, assisted by our sponsors, so come along and enjoy the sounds and sights of the Horley Carnival!
