This festive season, step into a world of wonder as Glow Wild returns to Wakehurst. Sussex’s award-winning Christmas lantern trail transforms the wild botanic garden into a dazzling celebration of nature, storytelling and seasonal joy.

This year’s theme, Seed Safari – A Walk on the Wild Side offers breathtaking light installations, immersive soundscapes and magical moments for all ages. Wander with a handcrafted lantern through glowing rivers, enchanted forests and shimmering sea gardens, where wolves, jellyfish, fungi and mythical creatures bring your imagination to life.

Actress Cate Blanchett lends her voice to evocative audio soundscapes, guiding visitors through a trail packed with wow moments. Discover Glow Wild’s biggest ever installation – Moon River, with over 13,000 twinkling lights, and a majestic parade of glowing animals handcrafted from willow.

Gather around the Story Fire Circle to toast marshmallows, sip mulled wine and share festive tales beneath the giant redwood Christmas tree and enjoy expanded Christmas market–inspired street food and elegant dining.
