Birchanger Gardens

On Sunday May, 8 the Worrall family are kindly opening their seven-acre garden, Birchanger Gardens in Handcross to the public in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice.

With displays of azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias and magnolias and a grassy avenue, lake, lily pond, pergola, Etruscan-style temple there will be much to see.

Open 2.00pm – 5.30pm with entrance £5 and children free. Dogs must be on leads. Free car parking and refreshments will be available.

Returning for 2016, St Catherine’s New Horizon’s Appeal Garden and Local Produce Fair is to take place in the grounds of Cuckfield Park on Thursday May, 19. The prestigious fair has become known as West Sussex’s mini ‘Chelsea’, bringing together wide-ranging traders, specialist plants, garden products and local food. Last year’s fair attracted more than 800 visitors browsing stalls. Since 1989, the appeal has raised more than £2.5 million for St Catherine’s.
