Make Your Steps Count For St Catherine’s

Sussex charity, St Catherine’s Hospice is calling all walking enthusiasts and nature lovers to join it on Sunday, October 14 for a challenging hike through picturesque countryside which features historic landmarks including the Balcombe Viaduct, Ardingly Reservoir and Wakehurst Place Seedbank.

The cross-country hike will allow you to enjoy the changing colours of autumn whilst raising funds for St Catherine’s Hospice. The full hike is 13 miles, with 9 and 4 mile routes also available making this a family friendly event which the charity hopes to raise £20,000 from, by asking for donations and sponsorship.

Tom Abbott, community and events fundraising manager at St Catherine’s said: “The orange tones of autumn aren’t only beautiful to walk in, but also promote St Catherine’s colours to remind us why we’re here – to care for local people.”
